Fire in the Hills

On thursday there was a fire in the Dishman Hills behind our house. We had to evacuate for the night and finally got back home this afternoon. Here's some pictures of how the ponderosa looked in the early evening.

These don't show the actual flames because after we left the Ponderosa where you could see them, it was too dark to get good pictures.

Brooke & I finally saved up enough to buy a Wii. We called all over town and finally found one place that still had two left! Everyone is enjoying it a lot.

First of July in Mountain View

So, last week my mom called my grandma and asked her if she wanted to go to Mountain View, Alberta, Canada (where my grandma was raised) for the first of July (Canada Day) to visit relatives. My grandma, my mom and my aunts always mope around on the 1st of July because they wish they were in Mountain View. So my grandma finally decided that it would be fun to go and we started off after sacrament meeting because Brooke had to give a talk (good job by the way). We got to a little passed Sparwood which is about 2 hours or so from Mountain View, and had to turn around because a semi truck got stuck on a bridge and they wouldn't be able to get it out for 4-6 hours. So we went back to Sparwood and were very lucky to get a hotel room for the night! The next morning we finally made it to Mountain View. We stayed at my Grandma's cousin's (Mona's) house which was fun.

Hey this is Paige Skelton. I know that usually a parent in a family is supposed to do the blogging for the family, but since both of my parents are computer and electronicly disabled, I am stuck with the very exciting opportunity to begin it untill I can teach one of them to do it.
